Payment guide

New to crypto?

No problem — paying with cryptocurrency takes about 15 minutes the first time, and a couple of minutes every time after. Here's the whole path, start to finish, for Canadian customers.

  1. 01

    Pick a Canadian exchange

Sign up with any regulated Canadian platform — Shakepay, Newton, Wealthsimple Crypto, or Kraken all work well. Identity verification usually takes a few minutes.

→ Shakepay and Newton are the simplest if this is your first time.

  2. 02

    Fund it by Interac e-Transfer

Send yourself money the same way you’d e-Transfer a friend — it typically arrives in minutes. Skip the credit card option: Canadian banks treat card-funded crypto as a cash advance and charge immediate fees plus interest.

→ e-Transfer funding is usually free and instant.

  3. 03

    Buy Bitcoin (BTC)

Buy the amount your order confirmation shows, plus roughly 1–2% extra to cover the network fee your exchange charges when sending. BTC is the simplest choice; USDT works too if you prefer it.

→ Sending USDT? It must be on the TRON (TRC-20) network — nothing else.

  4. 04

    Pay your order

On your order confirmation page, scan the QR code with your exchange app — for BTC it pre-fills the address, exact amount, and your order reference automatically. Or copy the address and amount manually. Then paste your transaction ID into the form on the same page so we can match your payment fast.

→ The quoted amount holds for about 15 minutes — send within that window.

Good to know
  • Crypto transactions are irreversible — double-check the address (first and last four characters) before sending.
  • USDT must travel on the TRC-20 network only. Funds sent on other networks cannot be recovered.
  • We will never ask for your wallet's seed phrase, private keys, or exchange login. Anyone who does is scamming you.
  • Sent a slightly different amount, or missed the rate window? Don't worry — contact us with your order reference and we'll sort it out.
